What is At or Better?

At or Better Definition – This term is used when issuing an instruction to a forex broker, dealer or market maker that they should buy or sell at a specific rate or better that they can or are able to obtain in the market in a given time period. Your broker/dealer may have a variety of qualifications that can be attached to any instructions that you give to them. It is prudent to understand these and to learn how each one can benefit your trading results in the future. Most all of these qualifiers have abbreviated names in order to communicate quickly your intentions to your forex broker and to remove any possibility for misunderstanding.

Risk Statement: Trading Foreign Exchange on margin carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. The possibility exists that you could lose more than your initial deposit. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you.
