Camila Martinez

Camila is an incredibly experienced and successful day trader with expertise in trading stocks, derivatives and currencies. Her real passion is in identifying the best opportunities and capitalising on the latest market trends, and she is never happier than when pursuing a hot new lead. She spends most mornings and evenings pouring over the latest financial news and developments to try and stay at the top of her game. She’s a keen follower of CNBC and Bloomberg in particular and claims to be able to name every presenter and expert guest who has appeared on both networks over the past few years. With a degree in Economics from Berkeley in her pocket, Camila spent time in both London and Singapore where she gained a wealth of trading experience. Eventually she finally settled in New York City to be at the heart of US trading and it is from here that she shares her insider knowledge of trading affairs on both a local and global level. In her spare time Camila teaches beginner’s karate classes, using the instincts she has honed in the competitive world of day trading. She dreams of one day opening her own world-cuisine restaurant with her younger brother Lucas.

James Randall

James (or ‘Jamie’ to his friends) has enjoyed great success with a number of UK financial firms and has an enviable pedigree spanning over 30 years. He began his career as a local, grassroots financial planner before spending several years specialising in training new advisers. It took some convincing for James to leave teaching behind and finally progress into more senior management roles. It was during his period of teaching and coaching new advisers that James discovered a passion for writing and sharing his knowledge, a passion he continues to indulge in here at ForexTraders.com. James has a particular interest in trading psychology and is a close follower and advocate of Dr. Van K. Tharp’s trader personality test, identifying personally as a ‘Planning Trader’. James is always keen to discuss the trader mindset and help others to tweak their style and approach in order to be as successful as possible. Despite numerous sports injuries over the years James is still a keen squash player, and he was a much-loved bar manager at his local club before becoming its chairman. He is a close personal friend of one of our other contributors, Joshua Crafter, but James is yet to successfully persuade Joshua that squash, not tennis, is the superior racquet sport.

He admits that his initial, uneducated attempts at trading did not go so well and that he had to learn some tough lessons along the way. Taking a more careful approach and engaging in much more research and planning, Josh realised that he could see better sustainable returns and decided to persevere despite the initial setbacks. Taking a much more pragmatic and disciplined approach has worked wonders and Josh now has many years of experience and a solid portfolio of successes under his belt. Unsurprisingly, his main area of interest when it comes to writing lies in beginner trading and helping others gain the right tools, approaches and mentality to avoid the painful pitfalls which often await the uninitiated. Josh is a keen tennis player and continues to travel the world when he can, following high-profile tennis tournaments. He is a personal friend of one of our other contributors, James Randall, who encouraged him to join the team.
